The first major stage adaptation of JRR Tolkien's famous trilogy, THE LORD OF THE RINGS, with an unprecedented budget of £12 million, takes us on a breathtaking journey of wonder and enchantment, hope and discovery, friendship and loyalty.
More than 30 moving image sequences were created for an on-stage 12-metre LED screen and video projection, helping transform the theatre into Middle-Earth.
The Gray Circle's on-stage backgrounds varied from burning skies for the Battle of Helms Deep, to the Eye of Sauron and the snow covered Mines of Moria, endowing this spectacular theatrical event with mesmerising visual effects.
